Packaging line for Serbian confectionery

ECONO-PAK starts manufacturing a new packaging line for a Serbian customer in the confectionery industry.

The project consists of an HK-S cartoner for packaging biscuits and a subsequent case packer for forming packs in a wrap-around carton. The insertion of the biscuits in the flowpack into the cartoner's product cassette is fully automated by a loading cell with robots. This combination of machines processes up to 150 boxes per minute with three different packing schemes.

The case packer finally groups the cartons into packs of up to 48 pieces and packs them. So that the cartons can be grouped both vertically and horizontally, the case packer has two different inlets instead of the usual one. Finally, a control unit checks the packs for completeness. 

For better accessibility to all areas, the line receives ECONO-PAK clamp conveyors. This eliminates the need for stairs for employees and increases occupational safety.
